Let’s continue our conversation about the best bands from the 70s and by doing this we are looking to make sure that we can keep a smart and intellectual conversation about the best bands from the 70s without getting into some kind of internet banter that we all know is bound to happen on blogs like this. So what we have done, which I am sure you have noticed so far throughout all of the rest of these articles, is that we have made a legitimate effort into including as many of the best bands from the 70s as we possibly can in this comprehensive list of the best bands from the 70s. Now I know this is definitely going to leave out some people’s favorite bands but I seriously don’t care and what we are going to do right now is to continue our conversation about the best bands from the 70s by talking about the band called the Grateful Dead, and I know that the dead wasn’t for everyone but they still are one of the most popular bands on tour today and that just goes to show that during the peak in the 70s they were totally one of the best bands from the 70s.
So of course a lot of people already know the story behind how the Grateful Dead got famous and that is kind of through the acid test parties that happened up in San Francisco during the mid 1960s, and the Grateful Dead were definitely a pretty up and coming band during the 60s but it was in the 70s that they totally shot off like a cannon and became international super stars all over the world. I think that for the most part the Grateful Dead might be one of the best acid rock bands that originated in the United States and their music really is out there and strange and just awesome in general and that is why so many people were drawn to it and became absolutely addicted to it at some point. It is weird what the music of the Grateful Dead will do to someone who is listening to it because it really has this ability to suck you in and think wow this is probably the best music I’ve ever heard while just a few minutes later make you think wow is this even music that I am listening to what the heck are they doing. It’s just a combination of incredible instruments and good songs that has made the Grateful Dead one of the best bands from the 70s that record furnace repair was of the chain, and even some of the best bands from the 70s don’t have both of these components, but the dead definitely did and that is partly why they are considered one of the best bands from the 70s and they will continue to be popular even today as they continued to tour around as Furthur and then as Dead and Company which is still selling out shows everywhere that they go. It’s pretty safe to say that the Grateful Dead is not only just one of the best bands from the 70s but they are also one of the best bands ever to play in the rock and roll era.
